Get details on how to qualify for FREE courses as a Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Glades, or Hendry County resident!

This will launch in January and includes a series of five, non-credit courses offered through FGCU’s Continuing Education Department and taught by FGCU College of Education faculty. Each course will be 8-weeks in length, offered online and asynchronously. Individuals interested in this program can complete this the online interest form now. The cost for this program is $750 per course, with there being a series of 5 non-credit courses that are offered to complete the series.

Series of Courses:

1. Curriculum & Material Development (TSL 5142) - starting January 2024 

2. Cross-Cultural Issues in ESL (TSL 5525) - starting Summer 2024 (dates may change)

3. Methods of Teaching ESOL (TSL 5085) - starting Fall 2024 (dates may change)

4. Methods of Teaching Content ESOL (TSL 6345) - starting Spring 2025 (dates may change)

5. Testing & Evaluatiion for ESOL Teach (TSL 5440) starting Fall 2025 (dates may change)

Add/Drop Policy: Students are eligible for a full refund if communicated within week 1 via email to our office as well as the instructor of record. Students dropped from the course will no longer have access to course materials and are ineligible for any credentials related to the course if/when a refund is provided.

Students are required to complete introductory assignments or acknowledgment of enrollment within 1 week of the course start date. Failure to do so will result in the student being dropped from the course/program without refund.

Cancellation Policy

If a program is canceled, you will be notified by email and phone and issued a full refund within 20 business days. Individuals who cancel after the start of a program will not receive a refund. No refunds will be granted after a student accesses the online course materials or 30 days after registration, whichever comes first.
